The R&B room needs to be made a lot bigger, I went last night with my friend and I practically got trampled on, I had to leave because I felt like i was going to either be knocked over and stamped on, or suffocate because there was literally no room to move what so ever. Can I just say, the bar staff were lovely. But as I was leaving I had a stone in my shoe, so I sat on the stair for less than 20 seconds to get the stone out and a huge man with a beard came behind me and shouted at me to get up. Now it’s not what he said, it’s how he said it and how he dealt with the situation. I completely understand the fact he wanted me to move because I was in the way, but the fact he came out of no where and scared me half to death by shouting at me is just disgusting. I was completely sober, because I was driving so I wasn’t even giving him any of the ‘drunk bullshit’. I felt so uncomfortable and intimidated I genuinely felt scared. When actually security are there to deal with the people who are being a aggressive and making others scared, not trying to make people feel scared. I told him he didn’t have to shout at me because I would have moved if he asked me nicely and he decided to put his hand on my hip and start pushing me down the stairs telling me to get out of ‘his club’. Just because you have a little badge on your arm, doesn’t make it ‘your club’ and certainly doesn’t give him the right to treat people so disgusting! I then told him to let go of me and he told me if I wanted to complain about him to ‘feel free’ because no one will do anything about it. He was vile, and thought he could treat me like this because he would get away with it. If he can’t find anything else to do and is that insecure about himself so has to intimidate a 20 year old girl sitting on a step for not even 20 seconds getting a stone out of her shoe, to make him feel just that little bit bigger about himself then good luck to him! I normally come here a lot when I go out in Ipswich but for this reason my friends and I won’t be coming back to Unit 17 again and will just stick to going out places where there are nicer staff! But granted, if I ever want to go out and want to be scared of the security men, I will definitely come back here.
